I'm sure some of you have seen Nepal in the news this past week - perhaps on the BBC, maybe somewhere else - due to the week long Maoist strike that we've been experiencing here. The strike is on hold for right now, fortunately, and life in the city has returned to some semblance of normal. I just wanted to take a second and let everyone know that I'm fine, I wasn't affected by the strike at all, other than having to lay low at the apartment that I'm living in. As I write this I'm working to change my flight arrangements so that I can leave Nepal on the 19th of May. The country is due to have a new constitution written by the 28th of May, and if it's not completed (which it won't be) the Maoists have threatened to return to the streets, so instead of going through all of this again, I'll be headed home during this small window of opportunity.
Unfortunately due to everything that's been going on I haven't been able to post much of anything. I hope to get back to the commentary and image sharing soon.
